Cranial Nerve: Bush, Bush, Bush, or Bart?

Everyone loves an underdog. On the other hand, a lot of people love the Bush family. The Texas Kennedys threaten to thrice throne a president in my lifetime. I find this quite rude. Even as a grade schooler, I knew not to raise my hand every time I knew the answer because the other kids deserved a chance, too. But, Jeb!, who doesn’t know when to give it a rest, has announced his presidential aspirations. All the interest that’s accrued earns Jeb! common-law four-letter word status in my book.

Lucky for us, the media does benefit from these bountiful Bush regimes: these folks are nothing if not quotable. Where there’s a Bush, there’s a blunder. Unless were talking about former first lady Barbara, who recently said of Jeb!’s 2016 run, “No more Bushes in the White House.”

But then…no one ever went broke appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Wait–who said that? Could it have been…why, yes! None other than Lisa Simpson, highest common denominator and sister of failed (class) presidential candidate, Bart. Now, if the madams Bush and Simpson got together over tea, pooled some of the silliest quotes from their husband, sons, and brother, respectively, tossed them into a giant hat and asked you to pull one out, would you be able to determine from whose yap it originated? Well, here’s your chance to find out!

Below you will find a selection of quotations. Your job is to decide who said it: George H.W. Bush, George Dubya Bush, Jeb! Bush, or Bart Simpson. And in the sage words of Our Man Bart, if you think there are no easy answers, well, you just aren’t looking hard enough.

Bush, Bush, Bush, or Bart?

Read my lips, and pass the freedom fries!

53%. I suuuuuuuck. I knew all the Dubya quotes because I once gathered a whole list of them a few years back. But the rest? Fail. This was hilarious.

Glad you dug it. It was loads of fun culling the quotes and putting the dang thing together.
